OBJECTIVE OF THE SOCIETY

     The objective of the society and the working subjects and working methods that will be carried out by the Society for fulfilling this objective are as follows:

  a)  

To carry out works for clarifying the public opinion and the colleagues about every subject related to chemistry science and its application, to be in close cooperation with institutions giving chemistry education,

  b)  

To be in all kinds of activities for introducing and protecting the right and authorities of profession and colleagues, specifying the requests and evaluating the works,

  c)  

To carry out conferences, seminars, congress and scientific notice meetings, to arrange professional tours in domestic and at abroad and to be in all kinds of professional publications for encouraging, supporting and spreading the professional developments in chemistry field in Turkey and for strengthening the cooperation, professional and social solidarity among the colleagues,

  d)  

To cooperate with other Turkish or foreign institutions that has been founded or will be founded for similar objectives,

  e)  

To provide all kinds of help in professional area to young people having chemistry education, to provide book and money aid as far as possible within the budget and to give complimentary scholarship, to provide place for internship and to help in finding a job to the ones in need of help.

       

Publish

  1.  

Chemistry and Industry Magazine: This is magazine which is published and sent to members and sector every 3 months.

  2.  

Regular monthly Newsletter: Newsletter is prepared and sent every month to members aiming in better communication among members and keeping the members informed about the update news in Chemistry and in our society.

       
Past Meetings

     Turkish Chemical Society has organized many national and international meetings, symposia, cogresses and conferences. The 21st National Chemistry Congress will be held in Malatya, Turkey this year. In our last National Congress we received 1200 participants in Kars, Turkey.

     After the big success of the IUPAC ICCE Conference on Chemical Education, we have decided to start national meetings on Chemical Education and the first meeting is going to be helf between 20-23 June 2007 in Istanbul.
